- Leave a positive online review or mention the bar to friends and staff.
- Support the bar by purchasing a round or ordering a specialty cocktail.
If you feel strongly about leaving extra money:
- It’s better to buy a small souvenir or a bottle if the bar sells them.
- Some high-end bars accept tips for special services but confirm discreetly first.
Cultural note:
- Japanese hospitality (omotenashi) prioritizes service without monetary tips. Polite behavior and appreciation are valued more than cash gratuities.
A heartfelt thank-you, respectful demeanor, and return visits convey appreciation better than attempting to tip.
